Sona Group sparkles at BCIC Impact Award Ceremony; Sona Institutions bag 7 Impact Awards!

The Sona Group of Institutions stole the limelight at the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) Impact Award Ceremony that was held on February 5 at Bangalore, as it walked away with an impressive seven Impact Awards for the year 2020.

The BCIC awards, presented to the best institutions in 20 categories such as Best Health Care Campaign, Best Environment Initiative, Best Rural Development and Infrastructure Initiative, Best Women Empowerment Campaign and Best Skill Development Initiative, are immensely popular and rated high. 

The BCIC Impact Awards are given annually to motivate organizations to achieve excellence in their respective sectors and to also exercise social responsibility.

Sona College of Technology bagged the Exemplary Education Initiative Award while the Sona Ayush Multispecialty Hospital won the BCIC award for running the Best Health Care Campaign.

The Sona College of Arts and Science bagged the award in the Best Rural Development and Infrastructure Initiative category. 

Not one to be left behind, the Thiagararjar Polytechnic won the award for Exemplary Educational Initiative-Best CSR Impact. 

The Sona Medical College of Naturopathy and Yoga along with Sona Star Innovations Pvt Ltd bagged the award for the Best Health Care Campaign.

Each award carries a trophy, a certificate, prize money, and a one-year BCIC membership worth Rs 15,000 for the financial year 2021-22. 

Furthermore, winners are invited to join as sub-committee members of the elite trade body through which they would get the opportunity to network with business leaders and organize programmes relevant to their fields of specialty.

Each trophy presented to the winners has been signed by BCIC Chair Sameera Fernandes, External Affairs Expert Committee Co-chair Dr Prashanth Reddy, Senior Vice-President K R Sekar, President T R Parasuraman, and Vice-President Dr L Ravindran. 

BCIC is the largest trade body in Karnataka with over 800 members across 15 industry verticals. 

BCIC organizes workshops, seminars and facilitates dialogue between industry stakeholders, especially the government, on crucial issues concerning the industry and economy.
