- A student team won the second prize of Rs. 10000/- (guided by Dr. D. Raja ASP, Mr. K. Mani, AP and Dr. G. Gunasekaran, along with the citations in a regional-level project work presentation contest' TechNow 2014', jointly organised by AIMO (All India Manufacturers Organisation) and Anna University, Chennai at Anna University, Chennai, among over 150 participating teams across the country.
- Dr.M. Usha Principal Investigator, Dr. D. Raja Co-Principal Investigator and Department Team of FT Staff, Prof. K. Mani, Prof. G. Gunasekaran and Prof.S.Priyalatha received grant of 18.5 Lakhs from DST for Womens Technology Park Project – “Sewing machine for differently abled women”. for a period of 2017-2020 (On Going)
