About Sona Fa-Zine Club:

The Sona Fashion Magazine Club, widely known as Sona Fa-Zine, serves as a vibrant platform for students to enhance their skills across various domains of fashion, including makeovers, styling, costume design, fashion photography, and content writing. The club's core mission is to foster creativity, personal growth, and the development of essential skills such as time management, communication, and teamwork.

By offering opportunities for collaboration with teams from diverse fields, Sona Fa-Zine nurtures leadership, organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills. Our aim is to showcase the talents of students to the fashion industry and the broader world, helping them gain visibility, motivation, and exciting career opportunities through Sona Fa-Zine magazine. Club is dynamically mentored by Dr. D. Raja, Headof Department and Co-ordinated by Mr. C. Rajesh kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Fashion Technology, Sona College of Technology, Salem.

The physical copies of Sona Fa-Zine magazine are exclusively included and available in our Sona Library collections.

Objectives :
  • To provide a platform for students to develop skills in makeovers, styling, costume design, fashion photography, and fashion content writing.
  • To encourage and implement students’ creative ideas while strengthening time management, communication, and teamwork abilities.
  • To offer an integrated platform where students work across various domains, building leadership, organizational, social, and problem-solving skills.
  • To promote and showcase students’ talents to the fashion industry and the world, encouraging new opportunities and professional growth.
  • To connect fashion entrepreneurs, designers, and brands with the apparel and fashion markets, promoting their products and services.

FASONA CLUB - Fashion in Sona (Fashionpreneur Platform)
Objectives :
  • To enhance students' designing skills.
  • To provide exposure to the basic requirements of setting up a boutique and developing boutique management skills.
  • To offer opportunities to understand customer requirements and fulfill orders.
  • To train students to start new businesses in fashion boutiques.
  • To conduct seminars, quizzes, and workshops related to boutique management.
Activities:

1. FASONA club : T-shirt Painting

The T-shirt Painting Competition, organized by FASONA club December 7th, 2023. Participants showcased their artistic talents, transforming blank canvases into vibrant displays of creativity. The event fostered a sense of community and appreciation for artistic expression among attendees.


2. Fasona Club : Draping

The Draping Competition, organized by Fasona Club, took place on June 5, 2023, inviting second-year fashion technology students to demonstrate their proficiency in fabric manipulation. Participants displayed their craftsmanship and garment construction skills, showcasing creativity and precision.

SSS CLUB - Sona Style Squad (Design & Fashion Show Platform)
Objectives :
  • To bring out the creative talent of the students in designing, grooming, modeling, and artistic fields.
  • To encourage and showcase the inherent innovative talents on various platforms and to promote teamwork among the students.
  • To organize quizzes, seminars, and workshops to improve skills related to fashion design.
Activities:

1. Sona Style Squad - Couture Makeover

The Couture Makeover, hosted by Sona Style Squad, showcased the creativity and expertise of 3rd and 4th year B.Tech Fashion Technology students on September 2, 2023, participants unleashed their design prowess, crafting innovative couture pieces that captivated judges and spectators alike.


2. Sona Style Squad - Sona's Stitchathon

The Sona Style Squad hosted "Sona's Stitchathon" on February 11, 2023, for third-year fashion technology students. The event showcased creativity and skill, challenging participants to demonstrate their prowess in garment construction. Competitors brought their A-game, weaving fabrics into innovative designs, leaving an indelible mark on the fashion landscape.

FIYOS CLUB - Fashion In Your Own Style (Designing Platform)
Objectives :
  • To enhance students' design skills by providing hands-on training and competitions.
  • To train our students to participate in various design-related events at other colleges.
  • To provide insights and skills to meet the requirements of designer-based jobs.
  • To organize workshops, quizzes, and seminars aimed at enhancing design skills.

FIYOS CLUB - Brush Free Art

Fiyos Club hosted the Brush Free Art Competition exclusively for B.Tech Fashion Technology Students on June 1st, 2023. The event showcased the fusion of innovation and creativity, providing a platform for budding designers to exhibit their talent.

FASHION STRIDE CLUB - Manufacturing Platform
Objectives :
  • To train students in manpower calculation, equipment and machine handling techniques, line layout planning, and absenteeism management.
  • To educate students on merchandising plans, costing, order execution, and upgrading their knowledge in the latest technological developments.
  • To organize contests/workshops aimed at improving knowledge in apparel manufacturing. To develop skills to enhance production/productivity in the apparel industry by exposing students to real-world situations.
SONA SWAG FASTO CLUB - Garment Ideator's Platform (Smart Wearable And Garments)
