Sona Awards 2014, which was held on 29.07.2015, insisted on sharing the teachers’ learning’s with the students.

The Staff Award function was presided over by Principal Dr. V. Jayaprakash and headed by Academic Director Dr.C.V. Koushik in the august presence of Chairman Sri. C. Valliappa, Vice Chairmen Sri. Chocko Valliappa and Sri Thyagu Valliappa. Nearly 800 teaching and non-teaching staff members participated in the function and rewards worth over Rs. 25 lakh rupees were distributed.

In his speech, the Chairman mentioned that the name and fame of Sona across the country is due to the dedicated staff team. He also added that the Staff Award function is conducted every year to honor and recognize the staff members’ contributions to the growth of Sona. The Chairman continued to say that staff should have good interaction with students and share their learning and research experiences with them. He added that staff members are provided with advanced research facilities and opportunities to participate in national and international conferences enabling them to enlighten the students in the best way possible.

Nearly 1000, including teaching and non-teaching staff members, and their family members took part in the function which was organized and co-ordinated well by  Sona Human Resource Management,  Manager HR - GK.Aarthi and Team.
