At Sona the commencement of first year B.E/B.Tech programme is always a celebration. Freshers Day was conducted on 03.08.2015 for the first year BE/BTech students in a grand manner.

The function was presided over by the Principal Dr. V. Jayaprakash, and the Academic Director Dr.C.V. Koushik in the august presence of Chairman Sri. C. Valliappa, Vice Chairmen Sri. Chocko Valliappa and Sri Thyagu Valliappa. Mr. Rahul Kadri, Principal Architect and Partner at I.M. Kadri Architects, addressed the students and gave valuable advice. Thiru. Marabin Maidan Muthaiya, motivational speaker gave the special address.

The engineering aspirants were motivated by the words of the special invitees and their senior students. Mr. J. Dhayanithi, Assistant Professor, CSE department launched the Android application for Sona College of Technology in Google play store.   Dr. K. Karunakaran, Dean first year gave guidelines and instructions to students and parents. The function ended successfully.
