The Women Empowerment Committee (WEC) of Sona College of Technology, in association with Kauvery Hospital, Salem, organized a Health Awareness Programme on “Women’s Wellness: Prevention of Cervical Cancer” on January 30, 2025, at the PG Auditorium. The session aimed to educate young women on cervical cancer awareness, early detection, and preventive measures. Renowned medical professionals, Dr. P. Sathiya Sudhakar, Dr. T. Geetha Anand, and Dr. G. Kirana Selvi, shared their expertise, highlighting the importance of vaccinations, routine screenings, and a healthy lifestyle in preventing cervical cancer. The session provided valuable insights, empowering the second-year girl students with essential knowledge about women’s health.

The second-year students actively participated, engaging in discussions and clarifying doubts regarding women’s health and well-being.
