As the annual national-level cultural flagship of Sona College of Technology, the stakes were high. Talent from across the region converged to compete in a diverse line up of art, cultural, and intellectual events, all vying for prizes worth ₹3 lakhs.

But beyond the trophies and titles, the real prize was the electric vibe and atmosphere that defined KRIVVAS ‘26.

As the star-night finale unfolded on March 13, the campus transformed into a surge of sound, colour and anticipation. Above the roar of hundreds of voices, the sharp hiss of strobe lights cut through the dark, turning the stage into a kaleidoscope. It was the unleashed spirit of youth.

Pulsating songs by Super Singer, Punya Selva, pounded and rumbled through the crowd in the arena, touching raw nerves with electrifying beats while a few melodies tugged gently at the heart. Students swayed, sang along and erupted into cheers as the music built into a festival rhythm.

The excitement surged further when youth heart-throb actor Dushara stepped onto the stage, instantly connecting with the frenzied crowd. A few playful dance steps with Dushara and a quick Q&A with a student leader — handled with humour and charm showed her gentle grace and warmth. She was all praise for Sona, even wondering whether KRIVVAS was a concert or a college event.

Vice-Chairman, Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, resonated perfectly with the youthful vibe of the evening, appearing in an intense blue T-shirt. Along with Principal, Prof. Dr. S. R. R. Senthilkumar, he presented prizes to the winners amidst loud cheers and celebration.

KRIVVAS 2026, thus, settled in the collective memory of Sonatans and the students from many colleges – a day marked by talent, friendship, music and the unmitigated energy of youth.
