International Women’s day is an occasion to celebrate the progress made towards achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment but also to critically reflect on those accomplishments and strive for a greater momentum towards gender equality worldwide.
In our college, the International women’s day celebration was held at 26th march 2022 in Sri Vallipappa Auditorium with the prayer song. The chief guest for the function, Tmt. Saradadevi Manickam, Deputy Mayor, Salem. Gave the Women’s day address. Our college Vice chairman Mr. Thyagu Valliappa joined the celebration and addressed the gathering online.
Ms.Divya Hariharan, Executive Director, Megawin Switchgear Private Limited, gave the Keynote Address. She shared her experience on how she emerged as an entrepreneur and how she succeeded in taking her father’s business forward independently. She also highlighted the importance of women’s health, hygiene and safety.
