The Department of ECE organized a Guest lecture on the topic of “5G communication and beyond” for its students of batch 2022-26. It was held on 18.03.25 in Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam hall of ECE department. The session was handled by Er.Syed Ibrahim Abdul Rajak, who is currently the Regional manager, at Advanced Reality solutions, Chennai. The resource person spoke on various communication technologies basics, including 5G technology, starting with its role in today’s massive communication demands, along with some of the basics of antenna implementations for the same. Some points on current trends in the core industry were also delivered. He shared information about the possible ways of improvising the 5G technology and the associated research works going on, the various entrepreneurial jobs they can take up, and how these skills developed by the students will be useful to the students in real life industry aspects. He also assessed the students knowledge about current industry trends, and how they can enhance the same by means of constant practice.
Overall, this guest lecture was a great event to enhance knowledge of the students about various Communication industry related sub-topics and 5G technology related industry trends , and how it might prove useful to them in industry related projects and career perspective.
