Freshers Day for the first year B.E/B.Tech students was conducted on 21.7.2016. The Principal Dr. M. Usha delivered the welcome address. She also recorded the achievements of Sona. Mr. Stanley George, VP and Head HR – South India, Hexaware Technologies Limited, Chennai presided over the function and gave valuable guidance to the students. Chairman Sri. C. Valliappa delivered the inaugural address and special addresses were given by Vice Chairmen Sri. Chocko Valliappa and Thyagu Valliappa.
Our Alumni Mr. M. Prasad talked about his experience in Sona. Mr. Kabeer Shetty, Business Head – IOT Arsenals Soccer Schools spoke about the importance of sports and physical fitness. All India, first rank holder in Charted Accountancy Mr. Shriram attended the function and shared his experience with the freshers. Vote of thanks was proposed by the first year HOD, Dr.M. Renuga. The function came to an end by 1.00 pm.
