Students’ Sports and artistic talents come alive at Sona 3SL competitions!
The State level Sports and Cultural Competitions (Salem Sona Sports League and Cultural Event -24) was held in Sona campus on January 29 and 30.
Cultural and Sports competitions were held on January 29 and 30 in which large number of students from schools in Salem, Namakkal, and Dharmapuri took part. Contests included solo, group singing, battle of bands, traditional folk dance and Bharatanatyam under cultural category.
Sports competitions which featured Badminton, Basketball 11’s male Handball Male, Volleyball (M &F), Table Tennis (M&F), Kho-Kho (M&F), Hockey 7 A Side (M) captivated onlooker. Hearty thanks to the college management for their support and encouragement for the successful conduct of the event
In the prize distribution ceremony, Principals of Sona Institutions, Dr. S.R.R Senthil Kumar (Sona College of Technology), Dr. V. Karthikeyan (Thiagarajar Polytechnic College) Dr. G.M.Kadhar Nawaz (Sona College of Arts and Science) addressed the gathering. Mr. Shankaraman, Principal, Government Music College, Salem was also present. Cash prizes, trophies and certificates were distributed to the winners.
