Hostel inmates can choose either the NRI Mess or the Indian Mess. However, there cannot be a mixture of both during an year.

Quitting the hostels in the middle of the academic year is not encouraged.
Students always prefer to stay inside the hostel considering safety, hygiene and study environment. However, a few students wish to stay outside the campus. In this case a student has the option to rent a room in a private hostel, rent a room on his own (with or without food facility), or get a serviced apartment on rent.
There are various benefits that a student gets in each type of accommodation that he/she chooses. A student can experience a comfortable stay for a month within $100. So annually $1200 would make the student's living comfortable, happy, and safe.
