The Inauguration of the All India Workshop on “Natural Language Processing, IR and AI” started on 2nd May 2023 at 9.30 am with a prayer song followed by a video presentation on IEI. Er.SR.Saravanan, Chairman, IEI local centre and IEI Council Member welcomed the gathering by thanking the associating partner and technical partner. He extended his wishes to all the dignitaries and participants. He wholeheartedly thanked the IEI members for making this two all India Workshop on Natural Language Processing, IR and AI happen in Sona College of Technology, Salem. And he also extended his wishes to the academia, Industry and students who are participating the workshop with a thrust to learn new technology. He also mentioned clearly about the IEI activities and opportunities having for IEI Members and Member Institutions.

Dr.V.Mohanraj, Professor /IT, Sona College of technology and Chairman of Technical Committee of the event addressed the gathering on the theme of the All India Workshop. He also explained the need of chat GPT like technology and career opportunities available for the budding engineers.

Dr.S.R.R.Senthil Kumar, Principal of the Host institution and IEI-SLC Committee Member addressed about the Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval and its issues and opportunities. Also briefed about incubation centers in sona especially for NLP and related technologies. He also thanked IEI Head Quarters, IEI Salem Local Centre and Sona Management for their support.

Dr.K.Thangaraj, Committee Member of IEI Salem Local Centre and Associate Professor/IT of Sona College of Technology introduced our Chief Guest Mr.D.Sai Satish, Founder and CEO, Indian Servers, Vijayawada to the gathering.

Mr.D.Sai Satish gave the inaugural address. He addressed the gathering about the technical issues and opportunities in NLP. In his speech he mentioned about various certification programs in this field and opportunities to improve employability. And he added that the All India Workshop like this could be the destiny of the future world. Mr.D.Sai Satish explained the organization of two days All India.

The session was wrapped up with a vote of thanks by Er.N.Senthil Kumar, Honarary Secretary, IEI – SLC.

The session resumed at 10.30 am after the Tea break for Session on “Introduction to NLP” at PG Auditorium by Mr.D.Sai Satish, Founder and CEO, Indian Servers, Vijayawada. The Key note address was initiated by Dr.J.Senthil Kumar, Joint Organizing Secretary; Then the key note address by Mr.D.Sai Satish further added the techniques and advantages of the theme said technology. And the discussion session came to an end by 12.10 pm. After a short break, a session on “Chat GPT” was handled by Dr.V.Mohanraj, Professor/IT, Sona College of Technology at PG Auditorium at 12.15 pm. He talked about the rapid increase in the usage of Chat GPT and the necessity of learning the Technologies to interact with machines. The session came to an end by 1.30 pm.

The valedictory function of the National Conference started at 5.00 pm with a prayer song. Dr.K,Thangaraj, Committee Member, IEI-SLC welcomed the gathering. Dr.P.Shanmugaraja, Associate Professor/IT, Sona College of Technology addressed the gathering by the report presentation of the All India Workshop.

Mr.D.Sai Satish, Founder and CEO, Indian Servers, Vijayawada was introduced to the gathering for delivering the Valedictory address. In his speech she mentioned that “Natural Language Processing like technology is the future and we must adopt the technological changes and strengthen our self for the future for building new India by attending the workshops and conference like this”.

He thanked IEI Head Quarters, IEI Salem Local Centre and Sona Management for their support to made this all India workshop meaningful. The best participants are honoured with books.
