Sona College of Technology jointly with HireMee had the pleasure of hosting a distinguished resource person, Stephen Ibakari, Social Entrepreneur, Futurist, Founder, Chair Outreach UN ITU AI for good Global Summit, who delivered an insightful talk on “Exponential Transformation in the AI World” on 26th & 27th August 2024. The session was organized under the “Teach for India” initiative, connecting all the students across the country LIVE. He had a two day of fruitful interactions with faculty members and the students of Sona Group of Institutions. The session focused on the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in addressing global challenges, such as poverty, healthcare, education, climate change and ethical AI development. He shared real-world examples of AI-driven projects that have made significant social impacts, from predictive analytics in disaster management to AI-powered tools enhancing educational accessibility and also shared few clips of his talk with famous AI research scientists across the globe.
The boon of Quantum Computing technology was focused and various resources that could be sought for exploring the power of AI such as the Open source books, links to numerous project works, books of ACM board members and famous authors of AI were enlisted. His engaging presentation not only highlighted the ethical considerations surrounding AI but also inspired the audience to explore innovative ways to leverage technology for the greater good. The event was a resounding success, leaving participants with a renewed sense of purpose and the motivation to contribute to the field of AI in meaningful ways.
