The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), in collaboration with the #IEEE student branch and Institution innovation council, held a celebration of the #NationalEnergyConservationDay on 14.12.2022 at 4.00 pm in the New Library Lounge. Dr. S. Padma (EEE/HOD) opened the event and gave a report on #energyutilization in India and our institution, emphasizing the importance of #energysaving . To follow, Dr. S. R. R. Senthilkumar, Principal, addressed the gathering, urging them to conserve energy by turning off appliances such as fans, lights, and computers in classrooms and labs when not needed. He also described the remarkable construction of our college buildings, which reduces the need for #artificial#lighting.
Students and faculty from various departments were present and made a pledge to #conserveenergy on this special day.
