The National Service Scheme (NSS) units of Sona College of Technology organized a Tree Plantation Drive at Vattamuthampatty Village and MGR Nagar, Salem Block, on 05.01.2026, as part of the NSS Special Camp. The programme began with a pledge to protect the environment and reduce plastic usage. NSS volunteers planted 100+ various shade and fruit-bearing saplings in public and community spaces and distributed saplings to villagers. The initiative created awareness about the importance of trees, environmental conservation, and sustainable living. The active participation of villagers and volunteers ensured the success of the programme, effectively reflecting the NSS motto, “Not Me, But You.”
