YOGA DAY

The participation of NCC cadets from Sona College and various colleges under the 12th battalion in the International Yoga Day event held at AVS College Of Arts and Science on June 21, 2019, is a commendable initiative. International Yoga Day serves as a global platform to promote awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga. Yoga is indeed a practice that plays a crucial role in promoting relaxation, enhancing physical flexibility, and boosting overall well-being. By participating in yoga sessions led by a trained instructor, cadets had the opportunity to experience the rejuvenating effects of various asanas such as padmasana, vrksasana, dhanurasana, and balasana. The event provided cadets with valuable insights into the purposes and advantages of each asana, allowing them to understand how yoga can contribute to improving their physical and mental health. Additionally, participating in such events fosters a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose among cadets, promoting unity and teamwork within the NCC community.

Furthermore, the celebration of International Yoga Day highlights the universal appeal of yoga and its ability to transcend cultural and geographical boundaries. By embracing this ancient practice, cadets contribute to a broader movement aimed at promoting holistic health and well-being worldwide. Overall, the participation of NCC cadets in International Yoga Day underscores the organization’s commitment to promoting physical fitness, mental resilience, and spiritual growth among its members. It also reflects the recognition of yoga as a valuable tool for fostering a healthy and balanced lifestyle in today’s fast-paced world.
