INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY
International Women’s Day is an occasion to celebrate the progress made towards achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment, but also to critically reflect on those accomplishments and strive for greater momentum towards gender equality worldwide.
In our college, the International Women’s Day celebration was held on March 26, 2022, in the Sri Vallipappa Auditorium with a prayer song. The chief guest for the function, Tmt. Saradadevi Manickarn, Deputy Mayor of Salem, gave the Women’s Day address. Our college Vice Chairman, Mr. Thyagu Valliappa, joined the celebration and addressed the gathering online.
Ms. Divya Hariharan, Executive Director of Megawin Switchgear Private Limited, delivered the Keynote Address. She shared her experience on how she emerged as an entrepreneur and succeeded in independently taking her father’s business forward. She also highlighted the importance of women’s health, hygiene, and safety.
