Dr. Vijay Bhaskara Rao, Dean of R&D and Professor of Physics, S V University, Tirupati, delivered a talk on Climate Change and Future Technologies on 20 March 2024 at Sona College of Technology, Salem, organized by the Centre for Study on Rainfall and Radio Wave Propagation.
Theme of the Lecture :
This lecture addressed the issue of climate change over the years. The global community has underscored that climate change affects our environment, the process of economic growth, and the well-being of the population. It also discussed the possible solutions to climate change as envisaged in the Paris Agreement and promoted sustainable living. The speaker presented the energy requirement for the future and government initiatives to achieve the goals. He also stressed that G20, being the representation of major global powers, can set the direction for the adaptation and mitigation of climate change impacts.
