The Civil Engineering Department of Sona College of Technology has organized a Guest Lecture on the “Seismic Response of Concrete and Masonry Buildings” on 04th November 2022. The lecture was delivered by Er.A.Karthikeyan, Structural &Geotechnical Consultant, Karthikeyan Associates, Chennai. In this lecture total of 36 final year students participated. This lecture is adjoined with course U19CE702 Earthquake Resistant Structures. In the Guest Lecture, Responses of Concrete and Masonry buildings, Damages/Failures of buildings, and steps taken to resist the earthquake effectiveness of the buildings were discussed. The lecture started at 03:00 pm and ended at 05:00 pm on 04th November 2022. At the end of the lecture, feedback was received from participants and it effectiveness was also analyzed. The Programme was organized by Dr.D.Jagadeeswaran, Prof/Civil and Dr.B.Prabu, AP/civil. Finally the POs attainment of the program was calculated and recorded.
