The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a guest lecture on the topic
“Product Lifecycle Management for Wind Turbine Gearbox in Green Energy Systems”
on 02.09.2025 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. through online mode (Microsoft Teams Meeting) for final year Mechanical Engineering students.

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Deepakraja Sidharaju, who serves as the Product Manager for Lifecycle Management (LCM) in the Research & Development division at ZF Wind Power, part of the IW group based in Germany. With extensive experience in the wind energy sector, Mr. Sidharaju brought valuable industry insights, focusing on the design, optimization, and management of wind turbine gearboxes. His expertise in product lifecycle management encompassed strategies to enhance the performance, reliability, and sustainability of wind energy systems. As an alumnus of the 2011 batch, he also shared his journey from academia to a leadership role in a global green energy company, inspiring students to pursue careers in renewable energy and advanced mechanical engineering fields.
