Plant based diet seminar was organized on 25th, April 2023 in the PG auditorium. This seminar has been conducted especially for the first year students. All the First year students of B.Tech.FT, B.E.Mechanical and B.E.Civil were the audience of the seminar. The resource person was Mr Samaran Thamarai (an alumni of GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya). He spoke about vegetarian diet and veganism. The content delivered by him was eye-opening, very revealing, touches on the present day scenario and is a game changer for many students. He has conducted lectures in various universities like Madras Institute of Technology (Chrompet), MGR women’s college for arts and science (Vilupuram), PSR college of engineering (Sivakasi), RVS college of arts & science (Sulur), Government College of Technology (Coimbatore) etc. He has presented the winners of the food truck competition with prizes also.
