Sona College of Technology organized a Patriotic Day run on 26 January 2022 , across India to pay tribute to the veterans of India who spent their life in protecting the nation along with martyrs who sacrificed their life for Indian soil. The run will glorify the moment of nationalism and patriotism that every single Indian have. The Patriotic Run was Started by “Our Chief Guest our Principal Mr. S.R.R.Senthil Kumar” had Initiated this event.
SEA A. Kapilan from Attur, Salem district, a veteran of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war who served in the Indian Navy was paid homage by the Vice Chairman of the Sona Group of Institutions, Mr. Thyagu valliappa. During the function, NCC officials and students were also present.
the event was organized by the Coimbatore Group under the name “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Shakeedi Ko Sat Sat Nama” for 11 TN sig coy ,ncc Salem.
Sona’s NCC, along with Sona Sports Club, conducted 1200 and 800 meters relay in which NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, YRC volunteers, and students of Sona College of Technology across all branches participated enthusiastically.
