Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was conducted concurrently with the Jallianwala Bagh Remembrance Day, drawing participation from NCC cadets across various colleges. The event was organized collaboratively by 11 TN Signal Company, 12 TN Battalion NCC, Salem, along with Sona NCC, on April 16th, 2021.
Cadets from different institutions came together to clean the streets as a tribute to the historic significance of Jallianwala Bagh and to honor the memory of those who lost their lives. The event symbolized a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene, reflecting the spirit of unity and patriotism.Through this initiative, NCC cadets aimed to instill a sense of responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness in public spaces. The act of cleaning the streets not only paid homage to the sacrifices made in history but also served as a practical demonstration of collective efforts towards building a cleaner and healthier environment. The event underscored the importance of civic duty and community involvement in fostering a cleaner and more sustainable society.
