REPUBLIC DAY – 2023:
Sona College of Technology celebrated the 73rd Republic Day with great fervor and patriotism on January 26th. The entire campus was adorned in the colors of the national flag, reflecting the spirit of unity and pride. Under the leadership of our esteemed Chairman, Mr. C. Vallippa, the cadets of the college played a significant role in commemorating this auspicious occasion.
The day commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, a symbol of our sovereignty and freedom. Following this, the cadets staged a magnificent procession around the college grounds, showcasing discipline and unity. Led by our Chairman, the procession exemplified the values of patriotism and reverence towards the nation.
Notably, the Republic Day Parade also featured participation from students belonging to the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Youth Patriotic songs, and skits depicting the struggle for independence were performed, aiming to instill a sense of pride and gratitude among the audience.Their inclusion added diversity and inclusivity to the event, symbolizing the collective commitment of the college towards nation-building and social welfare.Throughout the day, various cultural and educational programs were organized to commemorate the significance of Republic Day.
Furthermore, students actively engaged in activities promoting national integration and communal harmony. Discussions on the principles of democracy, the Constitution, and the role of youth in nation-building were held, fostering a deeper understanding of the values enshrined in our democratic ethos.
The celebration of Republic Day at Sona College of Technology served as a reminder of our collective responsibility towards upholding the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
