Training for site planning from Prayojana Institute was arranged for third year Civil Engineering students was arranged during vacation from 11.12.17 to 16.12.17.
On 11.12.17, Awareness about the construction management, introduction about the courses, practical session on calculating the plinth and carpet area of the building were discussed. Then during afternoon session, lecture on scope of construction management and sequence, necessities to understand the project was discussed.
On 12.12.17, ForeNoon the students learned about BOQ, studying of drawings.
In AN, calculating the quantity of concrete and formwork for footing and column was taught.
On 13.12.17, ForeNoon a visit to LAW CHAMBERS project under PWD , near Hasthampatti , police building near Anathanapuram , was arranged and knowledge on material usage, working and maintanence was taught .In AfterNoon.visit to the the University block , the was arranged where the sequence of construction and safety measures related to the work was discussed.
On 14.12.17 bar bending schedule was taught and calculation of the bar bending schedule for combined and isolated footings was discussed.
On 15.12.17 visit to GRADE SEPARATORS, in Erode near GH road was arranged. AE of the project explained the plan and materials of grade each of columns and decks slab and the students had a good practical exposure there in Erode.
On 16.12.17, the final day, planning of the project was elaborated in detail.
