The National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated every year on October 31 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Home Minister, who played an important role in persuading many princely states to join the Union of India. Should prioritize spreading awareness of the National Unity among volunteers and students On October 31, 2022, the Unity Run and Unity Pledge event was participated in by 66 volunteers from Sona College of Technology’s National Service Scheme. Principal Dr. S.R.R. Senthilkumar sir was the event’s chief guest and delivered a speech in which he highlighted the need of sustaining the unity, integrity, and security of our country. A pledge-taking ceremony with students from all departments was organized to convey the message of national unity throughout society and the nation. The above programme was coordinated by Dr. P. Iyyanar Sir, an NSS programme officer.
