KRIVVAS 2023: Two days of culture, art, and passion at Sona College of Technology, Salem!
The national level cultural festival at Sona College of Technology, Salem, brought together students from all over the country to celebrate creativity, passion, and diversity.
The second edition of the national event was held on May 8 and 9, 2023 by Sona Modern Theatre, the Fine Arts Club of Sona. A total of 1000 students from 65 colleges across the state and country took part. KRIVVAS 2023 gave a forum for students to demonstrate their talents in Short Film, Solo Singing, Photography, Fireless Cooking, Fashion Show, Face Painting, Music, Oratorial, Aptitude Testing (on Day 1) and in Group Dance Performance, Duo Dance, Solo Dance, Debate,Mime, Qiz, Adzap, Poetry Writing and Brushless Painting (on Day 2)
On both the days, the winners of each day’s competitions were awarded. Winners received trophies as well as the opportunity to join the stage on a Starnite Musical Show with actress Aparna Das, renowned playback singers Srinisha and Anand Arvindakshan and enjoy the DJ Night.
Sona College of Technology is proud to organise this innovative and interactive event and is dedicated to the cause of youth integration in the country. Sona is determined to keep KRIVVAS as a key national youth convergence event in the coming years.
KRIVVAS 2023, the two day national inter-collegiate programme of Sona College of Technology, Salem, had a grand finale on May 13, 2023 with a glittering starnite function that attracted over 8,000 people.
Noted film actress, Ms. Aparna Das, who was the main guest at the programme was welcomed by Dr. S.R.R Senthil Kumar, Principal, Sona College of Technology. She was honoured by the Principals of Sona Institutions.
This was followed by scintillating dance performances by the winners of SONATA, an intra college cultural fest. Ms.Aparna Das gave away prizes to all SONATA winners. On the occasion, Sona College of Technology’s Fashion Technology Department launched their magazine, Fazine.
Sri Nisha, a super singer, and Anand Aravindakshan, Airtel Title Holder and play back singer, sang the favorite hit songs for the audience. Sonaria orchestra sang along with super singers.
Pasumai Bhoomi, a CD of songs on environmental protection, composed by Sonaria, was released. Dr.S.R.R Senthil Kumar and the Principals of other Sona Institutions honoured the guest, Ms. Aparna Das and super singers, Sri Nisha and Anand Aravindakshan. The sponsors, R.R Foods and Food Culture, were honoured on the occasion by Sona Principal.
The DJ nite followed the super singers’ show. Star DJ couple Deepika and Navz were honoured by Dr Senthil Kumar, and Dr Raja, HoDs of Mechanical and Fashion Technology Departments respectively. More than 8,000 people including, students and parents of Sona Institutions, Sona College of Technology alumni and their family members and a large number of public comprised the large audience who attended the grand starnite.
