IGC FIRING COMPETITION:
The Inter Group Competition – Firing Camp was held at Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai, organized by 15 TN BN NCC. The NCC cadets of our college were participated in the 10 days camp. In the camp, they gained a good knowledge about the rifles, and how to handle the rifles in the various positions like lying, sitting, kneeling, standing.
In the camp, nearly 150 cadets from the various units in Coimbatore group and the PI staffs from various units trained the cadets in perfect manner. They taken the classes based on the rifles, communications, cover from view and cover from fire and so on.
Cadets have the Physical Training in the morning sessions. After the break fast, one group had a firing practices in the firing range and another group had a dry practice in the college ground. After some practices they conduct the competition in the three position and lying position. In the evening sessions, they had a PT and some days, they had a warm up for the firing. Atlast they had a award function competition for the best performer in the firing range.
