Department of Mechanical Engineering encourages 40 hours of Industrial Training for teaching Faculties every year. This academic year 2023-24, a faculty industrial training from Autodesk Fusion 360 was organized from July 17 – 19 (3 days).
The inauguration function was held in the CAD lab on 17.07.23 at 9.30 am,
- D. Senthil Kumar, Professor & Head of Mechanical Engineering, welcomed the gathering.
- V.K. Susil Kumar, Director – Industry Academia Connect, Human Resources, Vee Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Salem, Tamilnadu, gave a special address.
- V.Prasath, from Autodesk, gave an introduction about the features of Fusion 360.
The training session was planned as two sessions FN & AN every day in the mechatronics lab, Mr. R. Robinson Charly, Instructor, USAM CADSOFT INDIA PVT.LTD. handled the training session for 3 days. Totally 24 teaching faculties and 2 non-teaching faculties from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sona College of Technology, and 4 faculties from Thiagarajar polytechnic college.
All the faculties attended the entire training session, and a license for 1 year (renewable) for the software was given to every faculty. The training session was completed on 19.07.23, 5.00 pm. Dr. D. Senthil Kumar, Professor & Head of Mechanical Engineering, concluded the session with a vote of thanks.
