The inaugural function of ECE Department Associations UNECS and IETE Students’ Forum was organized on 27.08.2018, Monday, at PG Auditorium, Sona College of Technology. Sri.NARASIMHA SWAMY, Director, Varpas Media (P) Ltd., Bengaluru was the chief guest. The function started by 10.30 am.
Ms.R.GAYATHRI, AP/ECE & IETE students’ Forum secretary delivered the welcome address. Dr.R.S.SABEENIAN, HoD/ECE & Centre Head, Sona SIPRO felicitated the gathering by his special address to students and introduced the chief guest. Ms.M.SENTHIL VADIVU, AP/ECE & UNECS Coordinator introduced all the office bearers of ECE Department associations. Dr.M.DHANASU, Director, Sona incubation Centre delivered a speech on industry related projects. Dr.S.R.R.SENTHIL KUMAR, Principal, SCT delivered a presidential address. Dr.M.USHA, Senior Dean/ I&CE delivered a special address on this occasion. A Memorandum of understanding was signed between ECE department and Varpas Media (P.) Ltd., during the function. The chief guest Sri.NARASIMHA SWAMY presented the inaugural address about industrial needs for students. In the later part of the programme, he delivered a guest lecture on “Future Roadmap for Electronics Engineers through industries”.An MoU was signed between the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Sona College of Technology and Varpas Media P.Ltd., Bengaluru during the function. Dr.R.Vinod Kuamr,Professor & UNECS Treasurer delivered the vote of thanks. All the ECE Department staff members and students attended the programme. The programme came to an end by 01.00 pm.
