CONSTITUTION DAY:

Constitution Day, also known as National Law Day, holds immense significance in the history of India as it commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India on November 26th, 1949. This foundational document lays down the framework for the governance of the country and enshrines the fundamental rights and duties of its citizens. To honor this pivotal moment in India’s history, Constitution Day is celebrated annually on November 26th.

At Sona College of Technology, we recognize the importance of Constitution Day in reaffirming our commitment to upholding the principles of justice, equality, and liberty enshrined in our Constitution. On November 20th, 2020, a total of 29 cadets from our college actively participated in the Constitution Day event, marking their dedication to the values and ideals enshrined in our nation’s guiding document.

During the event, various activities were organized to deepen the understanding of the Constitution among the participants. Cadets engaged in discussions, quizzes, and presentations focusing on the salient features of the Constitution, the role of the judiciary, and the significance of constitutional rights and duties. Through these activities, cadets gained a deeper appreciation for the guiding principles that shape our democratic system and empower citizens to actively participate in nation-building.

Furthermore, the Constitution Day event provided an opportunity for cadets to reflect on the relevance of constitutional values in contemporary times and their role as responsible citizens in upholding the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. By actively participating in the event, cadets reaffirmed their commitment to promoting constitutional principles and contributing to the welfare and progress of the nation.

As we celebrate Constitution Day, let us renew our resolve to uphold the principles enshrined in our Constitution and work towards building a society that is just, inclusive, and democratic. Through education, awareness, and active engagement, we can honor the spirit of our Constitution and realize the vision of a vibrant and progressive India.
