CATC CUM TSC SELECTION I
The ten-day NCC Combined Annual Training Camp Cum Thal Sainik Selection Camp – I, held from May 22nd to May 31st, 2023, at KSR Arts and Science College, Tiruchengode, organized by 12 (TN) BN NCC Salem, included NCC SW cadets from our college. Additionally, several other colleges participated alongside Sona College. During the camp period, participants received instruction in various key aspects such as physical training, battlecraft, and Map Reading.
Representing Sona College NCC, nine cadets took part in the Thal Sainik Camp Selection – I. A series of tests were conducted for the selection process, including Map Reading, FC BC, Health and Hygiene assessments. These tests were overseen by the commanding officer of 12 (TN) BN NCC, Colonel Rakesh Mishra, and the best-performing cadets in each category were recognized by the PI Staffs.
In Map Reading, Cadet J. Kavidharshna of Sona College of Technology was awarded Best Map Reader at the conclusion of the camp.
