On April 24th, 2023, Sona College of Technology hosted a conference for Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) and Permanent Instructors (PI) staff from three NCC units in Salem: 5 Air Sqn NCC Salem, 11 (TN) SIG COY NCC Salem, and 12 (TN) BN NCC Salem. This conference aimed to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among the NCC personnel and celebrate the achievements of cadets who excelled in the recent RDC (Republic Day Camp) and TSC (Thal Sainik Camp).
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the Kovai Group Commander, who was greeted with a guard of honor by the cadets from Sona Arts College. In his address, the Kovai Group Commander inspired the cadets to strive for greater heights and emphasized the importance of dedication and discipline in their NCC journey.
Throughout the conference, medals and certificates were presented to deserving cadets and ANOs/PI staff who demonstrated outstanding performance and dedication. This recognition served as a motivation for all attendees to continue their pursuit of excellence in NCC activities.
A highlight of the event was the group photo session, where the Kovai Group Commander, ANOs, PI staff, and cadets captured memorable moments of camaraderie and achievement. This provided a valuable opportunity for interaction and camaraderie among the NCC personnel.
Overall, the conference proved to be a valuable platform for ANOs and PI staff to exchange ideas, recognize the achievements of cadets, and strengthen the bonds within the NCC community. It reinforced the commitment of the NCC units in Salem to nurturing and developing young leaders through the NCC program.
