NCC boys from our college participated in the ten days NCC Annual
Training Camp (ATC) from 29 Nov to 05 Dec, conducted by 11 TN SIG COY NCC, Salem at KSR college of Engineering, Tiruchengodu. Along with our Sona college many other colleges had participated. On the first day, all the seniors of each college made the cadets fall in to give them full knowledge about what is to be done in coming 10 days and registration process took place
Missioned with overall development of the cadets, the camp had a number of workshops, drills, quarter guard, solo singing, solo dance, group dance and other cultural had taken place.
Meanwhile, participants during the camp period were also trained on important branches including the map reading, physical training, weapons o training, battle crafts and drill beside being exposed to the camp life imbibing in them the qualities of being adventurous, disciplined, esprit-de-corps and secular values. Ample stress was also laid on character building of the cadets.
Our Sona cadets had won prizes in FIRING 1st prize gold by ” CADET PRAVEEN M” .WRITTEN EXAM 1st prize gold “CADET KAVIN V” and they received participation medals in cultural programs . The cadets had achieved and make our collage to feel proud and stand as an ideal for other collages and upcoming cadets
These camps make cadets to strengthen the bond by sharing with everyone and get to know each other more by experiencing it together. The last day of the camp marked the day of celebration and felicitations. It included the closing ceremony speech by Commanding Officer Col M.P SINGH. He addressed the cadets about the importance of NCC and stressed on the values of discipline & determination imbibed during the camp to be a beacon all through the rest of their life.
