The ALC (Army Leadership Camp) was organized by the 2 (TN) BTY NCC and took place at Hindustan College in Coimbatore on January 5th, 2023. Our college NCC cadet, Praveen M, had the privilege of attending this camp, which proved to be a transformative experience for all participants.

The day commenced with the first parade at 5:45 am, where cadets engaged in sports activities and received warm-up exercises led by the PI (Permanent Instructor) staff. Following this, the second parade convened in uniform, during which army staff delivered lectures covering various topics such as drill history, drill types, traffic rules, NCC leadership, and the human body. The open address was delivered by the Commanding Officer (CO) of the 2 (TN) BTY NCC, Coimbatore, setting the tone for the day’s events.

Later in the day, the third parade commenced at 2:30 pm, led by the Battalion Cadet Captain (BBC), focusing on drill practice and games aimed at enhancing cadets’ leadership and teamwork skills. Additionally, cultural activities were held at 6:30 pm, providing cadets with a platform to showcase their talents and celebrate diversity.

The ALC camp provided a significant learning experience for all cadets from various directorates. Through lectures, practical exercises, and cultural exchanges, participants gained valuable insights into leadership, discipline, and teamwork, which will undoubtedly benefit them in their future endeavors within the NCC and beyond. Overall, the camp served as a catalyst for personal growth and camaraderie among cadets, reinforcing the values of service, leadership, and excellence upheld by the NCC.
