1	Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Sona College of Technology organized Millet based training Programmes and Mega Millet Festival 2023 at Pannapatti, Salem on 29.11.2023. This event is spotted on “Dhina Thanthi” and “Tamil Hindu” dated on 2nd December 2023 and in Dhinamani on 4.12.2023.
2	Dr. B. Sathiyabhama and team members have been awarded a project under the Science for Equity Empowerment and Development (SEED) scheme to empower marginalized farmers, women, and unemployed youth in Omalur and Kadayampatti, and it was featured in “The Indian Express” daily newspaper.
3	Dr. B. Sathiyabhama and team members have been awarded a Nationally-funded project titled “Science Technology and Innovation Hub for livelihood enhancement of SC community in Omalur and Kadayampatti Blocks, Salem District, Tamil Nadu” funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST – STIHUB) Grants-in-aid Rs. 2,77,01,533/-.

• Dr. B. Sathiyabhama has successfully completed and secured Topper 1% in NPTEL course on Big Data Computing, Nov 2024.
• Dr. K. C. Rajeswari, Dr. R. Priyadharshini, and Dr. B. Sathiyabhama granted a patent for the topic "Effective Smart Fall Detection and Prevention System for Beds at Home and Hospitals" on 06.05.2024.
• Dr. B. Sathiyabhama received the Domain Star recognition from NPTEL (only faculty to receive this honor for the second time on campus).
• Dr. B. Sathiyabhama successfully completed and secured Topper 1% in NPTEL course on Cloud Computing and Distributed System, April 2023.
• Dr. B. Sathiyabhama was selected as one of the 100 participants for the AICTE-UKIERI Leadership Development Programme 2020 in leadership and management and successfully completed the programme. Leadership and Faculty Development is a strategic priority for both India and the UK to encourage joint learning, share best practices, and develop institutional mechanisms for sustained improvement.
• Dr. B. Sathiyabhama, Dr. J. Dhayanithi, and Ms. T. K. Revathi (of team MAPATHON3845) were recognized as WINNERS in the IITB-ISRO-AICTE Mapathon, an initiative of the FOSSEE (Free/Libre and Open-Source Software in Education) Project, IIT Bombay in association with ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). The Mapathon was held from 7 Dec to 22 Dec 2020.
• Dr. B. Sathiyabhama achieved Star Performer recognition in NPTEL on 27.03.2021.
• Ms. T. K. Revathi has been awarded as Advanced Technology Programmer (ATP) on Cloud Computing by Wipro TalentNext, Bangalore, held from 11th Sep to 15th Sep 2023.
• Dr. R. Priyadharshini received the Best Young Engineer Award 2024 in the 57th Engineers Day Celebrations by IEI Salem Local Centre on 16.09.2024.
• Dr. T. Sathiya – Assistant Professor, won an Award/Certification by Naliaya Thiran Initiative organized by ICT Academy during the year 2022-23.
• Dr. S. Anitha Elavarasi and Dr. J. Jayanthi acted as mentors for Students’ SEED project and received a grant of Rs. 30,000/-.
• Dr. S. Anitha Elavarasi has been certified as a Domain Scholar in Programming by Swayam-NPTEL.
• Prof. V. Vinodhini is recognized as a Wipro Certified Faculty for .NET FULL STACK in Jan 2024.
