Creativity | Technology | Presentation
If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.
Dexters' club is an initiative by the students for the students. We focus on the Creativity, Technology and Presentation of the students and to inculcate the peer to peer learning. The DEXTERS' club would invent the inborn talents of the students. We would create an impulse that would relate their passion and engineering. It provides a space for awaited intellects and techies to explore their ideas. The club would initiate unique activities, events, workshops and seminars. The club was named DEXTERS to have its origin from the root word dexterity which emphasis skills and the club triggers the Engineering skills of students.
The club was an intuition of the staff coordinator Samlinson Edward, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The club was inaugurated with formal approval on 9th July, 2012 by Ms.Aarthi C.Rajaratnam, Education consultant. The club functions with a cloud team to reach the students successfully.
Given a chance,
"We would create an 'AFFLATUS' by sharing the knowledge."
Just-A-Minute (or JAM) is an all round-fun event that is all about the control of the mind over the mouth. Students make it through sixty seconds of non-stop talking without hesitation, repetition, or deviation for the given on-spot topic.
Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything with the way you see them. Participant submits their photos taken based on a theme given.
- Blind Writing:
This event is conducted based on the capability of one’s on-the-spot thinking, solving and implementing coding skills. It brings out the logical skills involved in coding the appropriate piece of code for a given problem even when the display is turned off.
- Project Presentation
An event in which each and every project is valued and the best project among the students are encouraged for thier valuable and innovative ideas. It serves as a common platform for budding engineers to express their innovative ideas.
This is a technical event in which the participants are expected to program on a web based portal. The first round contains questions which are based on patterns. Second round will involve scenario based questions. The last round will have questions which are a combination of both or coding based data structures. All rounds will be conducted on laptop and the questions must be solved within the given time.
