Sona Siksha is a program that was taken up by our NSS from 2nd July 2008.
“Siksha is based on learn while play”.
The main objective of our Siksha program is to cultivate “Proper Discipline, Good habits” and to provide the basic education.
It is a programme which is specially organized for the children, whose parents are working in the construction of our college and they are from Andhra Pradesh, so our volunteers who knows Telugu are taken part in this programme.
Basically these children are from the family who are illiterate. This project was taken up by the third year NSS volunteers initially and was continued by the second year volunteers later. A particular syllabus was framed for the children and was carried out on a regular basis with work plan.
It takes place everyday from Monday to Friday in a week. It regularly starts at 5 O’clock in the evening with a prayer first and continued with daily. The schedule of one hour is divided as follows:

  • Siksha was carried out for 5 months and now the children are capable of telling the alphabets, rhymes, numbers, stories orally and can write alphabets and numbers.
IMPACT OF SIKSHA:
  • This program created awareness among the parents of these children on education.
  • Prof.A.Dhirajlal and Principal Dr.P.Govindarajan had an interaction with those children and encouraged them.
  • This is not the end for the children rather in a new beginning, and thus the aim of Siksha is attained.
