1. Carrying out a Research Project on “A proof of concept for indoor navigation using real time image” funded by Department of Science and Technology under the TIDE Scheme.
2. Carrying out a Research Project on “Centre of Excellence for Fabric Defect Detection using Intelligent image analytics” funded by Department of Science and Technology under the FIST Scheme.
3. Carrying out a Research Project on “Development of Digital Encoding System for Tamil Characters in Palm Leaf Manuscripts” supported by AICTE under the CAYT Scheme.  The project is carried out under the collaboration of Institute of Asian Studies, Chennai; Chinmaya International Foundation, Ernakulam and S-VYSYA University.
4. Carried out a Research Project on “Fabric Defect Detection in Handloom Cottage Silk Industries” funded by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi under the Research Promotion Scheme (RPS) since 2009.  In order to carry out this project a collaboration was sought with the textile industries
