In celebration of World Tourism Day 27th September 2024, the National Service Scheme at Sona College of Technology, in collaboration with the Salem District Tourism Development Department, organized a Heritage Walk from Yercaud Lake to Anna Park. During this event, 70 NSS volunteers and Programme Officers raised awareness about tourism and heritage. Later, at Shervaroyan Hills, volunteers and community members participated in a Seedthrowball activity to protect the environment in Yercaud. In the afternoon, our NSS volunteers engaged in “Swachhata Hi Seva”(a cleanup project) at Shervaroyan Hills, collecting 20 kg of garbage and single-use plastic waste.
