TPT-Sona Institutions, in association with Salem District Municipal
Corporation and Salem Forest Department, planted 10,000 saplings on 25.07.2024 at Salem
Hasthampatti Corporation Park. Mr. R. Rajendran, Member of the Legislative Assembly, and Salem Mayor, Mr. A.Ramachandran, were the chief guests at the sapling planting program, which was headed by Chairman Shri C. Valliappa and Vice Chairman Thiru. Thyagu Valliappa.
This program aims to enhance environmental protection. At this function, a pledge
was taken that NCC students and NSS volunteers will take care of all the maintenance for
these saplings. Thiagarajar Polytechnic College Principal Dr. V. Karthikeyan, Sona College of
Technology Principal Prof. Dr.S.R.R. Senthilkumar, Sona Arts and Science College Principal
G.M. Kadar Nawaz, and Councilor Sangeetha Neethivarman also attended and expressed
their support.
