Sona Staff Awards Day was celebrated on 24.02.17 in the special auditorium. The Staff Awards Day commenced with a prayer song. Dr. M. Usha, Principal welcomed the dignitaries on and off the dais. In his keynote address, Director Academics asked the staff to update their teaching skills. In his special address our Vice Chairman, Mr. Chocko Valliappa stressed that the faculty members to update knowledge to cater to the needs of education and research. In his special address our Vice Chairman, Mr. Thyagu Valliappa emphasised that staff should have innovative teaching methods and prepare them for the industry. In his special address our Chairman Mr. C. Valliappa told that the staff should plan more on improving University results.
Awards were given to the staff members on extraordinary university results. Newly married couples, staff members who had completed 15th and 25th wedding anniversary were awarded by Chairman and Director Academics. Staff members who had served Sona for 8 years, 10 years and 20 years were awarded by Vice Chairman. Special Awards were given to staff for their contribution for Research and Development, Grants and funds received. Mementos were given to the Management and Principal. Housekeeping staff, drivers and securities were also rewarded. The HR Manager gave the vote of thanks. The function came to an end by 9.00 pm.
