Sona College of Technology


As a part of tremors club, we have conducted a “Field Visit” at karumanthurai was held on 14.09.2019(Saturday). In which 45 volunteers participated. Students were taken from college to kalvarayan hills near Salem through tourist bus at10.45.A.M along with staff coordinators Mr. Suresh Kumar And Mrs. Hemalatha, then we reached the destination by 1.30 P.M. Volunteers were given instruction regarding to digging the ground and to plant the saplings. By 2.00 P.M the volunteers planted 1000 saplings. Lunch were provided. Mr. Thekkampattu helped the volunteers in a great way in helping the volunteers by planting the saplings and we learned to become self -reliant without depended any others on the food consume and we learned do organ farming-growing millets, fruit trees, timber trees, vegetables. We visit small solar power plant and house with stabilised mud blocks. By 7.00 P.M we were taken back to our college. Field visit was successfully completed. The main objective of the club is to address the environmental and some of the most important socio-economic problems which are hampering the overall growth of our city by conducting activities such as tree plantations, photo exhibitions, education for all, awareness camps, etc.
