Department of Mechanical Engineering conducted a guest lecture on 4.10.2019 in MBA Block Hall at sona college of technology on titled “Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing”.
Er.S.Sankaramoorthy from Cameron industry, Coimbatore delivered the seminar to the students about design approach and computer-generated three-dimensional solid models that helps engineers and designers communicate how to bring a part design to life. And mainly discuss about the three basic tolerances that limit dimensions, unilateral, and bilateral tolerances. Many topics discuss in the lecture like fits, types of fits, tolerance example, GDNT symbols, Types of deviations. Related to the design many things were discussed in the lecture. And discuss about the interview point of questions in design field. The Chief Guest shared his experience and also discussed the company expectations from students in the design field.
