An inaugural ceremony for the PG students of Sona College of Technology for the Academic Year 2022-23 was held on Wednesday 28 September 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Sri Valliappa Auditorium in the August Presence of Our Honourable Chairman Mr C. Valliappa, Our Inspiring Vice Chairman Mr.Chocko Valliappa and our young and Dynamic Vice Chairman Mr Thyagu Valliappa.
The Program started as the chief guest and other dignitaries, Dean Academics and Head of the Department, Information Technology, Dr.J.Akilandeswari,, Dean Admissions and Head of the Department Computer Science and Engineering Dr.Sathyabama arrived at the college premises with invocation followed by lightening of the lamp by the Dignitaries along with a student and a parent representation. The Head of Sona School of Management and Dean Admissions, Dr P.K. Anjani Welcomed the gathering. Our esteemed principal Dr S.R.R. Senthil Kumar addressed the parents and the students.
Our Vice Chairman, Mr.Thyagu Valliappa enlightened the student’s mind with his speech on the purpose and importance of their two years of Masters program in the campus. The program was further continued by the Felicitation by Dr.Karthikeyan, Principal, Thyagarajar Polytechnic College, Dr.Kadhar Navaz, Principal, Sona College of Arts and Science. Distinguished Chief Guest Mr Vijetha Shastry, Associate Director, Dexter capital advisor, Bangalore, shared his valuable experience about Retail Corporations, Sales, Blogs etc and advised the students to be active in social media platforms like linkedin.
He also insisted to have practice of book reading which will help to enhance their knowledge and asserted the students to be shadowing CEO’s. He also encouraged the students to be the grooming entrepreneurs. He highlighted Sona group is a milepost, for the development of students life and there are N number of opportunities for the students to utilize it.The Head of the Department MCA, Dr.Padma ended the program with vote of thanks.
