Prof. Samuel Johnson, MBA, M.ED, B.ED, Ph.D, facilitator and consultant, VIT, Andhra Pradesh conducted a full day workshop on 08.02.2020 about “OPEN SOURCE AND DIGITAL LEARNING TOOLS FOR TEACHING AND LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION” for a group of 60 teaching and non-teaching staffs, organized by placement development cell of Sona College of Technology. To have trained over 10,000 faculties, the workshop went smoothly with numerous laughs and bethinking about the way teacher career is being utilised.
It was indeed very useful as the professor explained about the world of free and open source software and various applications that are required for an engineering educator. He also did explain the digital tools and methodologies which will empower the teaching and learning acquaintance.
He also elucidated the various ways how an educator should respond in order to make a session arouse the attention of the student members.
The workshop was filled with lots of enlighten and fun that in every way was helpful and also mind boggling. All in all it was a wonderful experience in the name of faculty development.
