On April 30, 2025, a total of 65 volunteers from various departments, filled with enthusiasm and a spirit of service, embarked on a meaningful journey as part of the NSS unit of Sona College of Technology to Don Bosco Anbu Illam—a haven for children nestled in the serene foothills of Yercaud, Salem.

The visit unfolded into a heartwarming day of connection and joy. It began with warm interactions, allowing our volunteers to build meaningful relationships with the young residents by sharing stories and gaining insight into their lives. As a gesture of care and support, a wholesome lunch was served, nourishing both body and spirit.

The afternoon transformed into a vibrant celebration of fun and games, with laughter echoing through the air as both volunteers and children engaged enthusiastically. These shared moments of play and connection fostered a sense of camaraderie and genuine joy.

The day concluded with a heartfelt group photograph, capturing the smiles and bonds formed—a treasured memento of the experience. This enriching visit to Don Bosco Anbu Illam not only brought happiness to the children but also instilled a deeper sense of empathy and social responsibility in our NSS volunteers, reinforcing our commitment to community service and making a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals.

The event’s success was made possible by the dedicated support and guidance of our NSS Programme Officers, Dr. P. Iyyanar and Mr. A. Naveen Kumar, and the enthusiastic participation of all the volunteers. Their collective efforts ensured a memorable and impactful day for everyone involved.
