Sona College of Technology NSS Unit Organized the NSS SPECIAL CAMP –EYE SCREENING at Vattamuthampatty Village, Salem on 12th March 2024 between 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM. The eye screening was conducted by 1 doctor and 6 senior residents by Vasan Eye Care Hospital. The eye screening camp was a success. It helped to identify the eye problems in number of people who would not have otherwise been able to get an eye examination. In this camp 100 people were benefited, NSS Programme Officer, NSS Members and 82 NSS Volunteers are actively participated and learned about eye care and optical knowledge.
In the afternoon session Law Awareness Programme was conducted by advocate Sethupathi Mariappan, MA., BL., Founder/ Director National Law Foundation, Salem-7 and Mr.K. Satheesh B.E., LLB., Advocate, Salem. The Basic Law Awareness Programme seeks to empower village residents with the knowledge and tools necessary to assert their rights, access justice, and make informed decisions in their daily lives. By fostering legal awareness and literacy at the grassroots level, the programme aims to contribute to the socio-economic empowerment and well-being of rural communities.
