Industry and Start-up Day was conducted on 1st March, 2017. The programme commenced at 10.00 am with the invocation of God Almighty by the Sona Choir. The welcome address was rendered by Principal Dr. M. Usha. Our Vice Chairman Mr. Thyagu Valliappa introduced the chief guest Mr. R. S. Vasan and emphasised on the importance of starting up new companies. Mr. R. S. Vasan gave a presentation on ‘Lean Thinking’ and encouraged the students for innovations. Mr. Arya Rajesh Kumar motivated the students to creatively innovate start-up companies.
Our alumnus Mr. Vallieswaran was introduced by Mr. B. Saravanan. Mr. Vallieswaran inspired the students to create and innovate and he said that he would assist the students in their new venture. Dr. S. Nirmalesh Kumar our alumnus told about his innovative journey and motivated students to be creative. Peer teaching is encouraged in Sona and our Principal invited the students who taught their friends to the stage and honoured them. An interactive session was arranged where students asked a lot of questions to our guests which was patiently answered by guests. Dr. G. Gunasekaran gave the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end by 1.40 pm.
